Verite is your nonprofit new source for New Orleans.

For too many in this city, the news is usually about crime, crime, crime, and all of the negative things happening in our community. But what if we could change that? What if the news was about all of the amazing people who live here? About the brave work being done to solve problems, and make this city a better place to live? That’s what we’re trying to do with Verite. 

Verite is helping build a better New Orleans by providing unbiased news and resources that support the entire community, with a special focus on uplifting voices that have long been ignored by mainstream media. 

But we can’t do it without you. The news should represent your experiences, your concerns, your questions. Guess what? The only way we can do that is if you step up and share – your voice, your questions, your story. Unless we know what kind of news you need, we can’t give it to you!
